Search
Terms:
The
default search will look for documents containing any search word
Example: Nicholas Alexandra would find pages with "Nicholas"
OR "Alexandra"
Use
"AND" between words to find documents containing all search
words
Example: Nicholas AND Alexandra would find pages with both "Nicholas"
and "Alexandra"
Use
"NOT" to exclude a word
Example: Cold NOT War would find pages with the word "Cold"
but not containing the word "War"
Use
"*" to find words beginning with a phrase
Example: Khrus* would find pages with words beginning with "Khrus"
(Khrushchev, Khruschev, etc.)
Use
"( )" to form more structured searches
Example: (Cold NOT war) AND arctic would find pages with "Cold"
but not "War" and including the word "arctic"
